Reconnecting to our Vision: a Day of Meditation and Healing with Reiki, Integrated Energy Therapy (R) and Shamanic Journeys

Healers in the 21st century are experiencing an unprecedented amount of changes in their lives. The world is changing at a pace not seen previously. We may have a Vision for ourselves for five years and now find that it only lasts five months or even five weeks.

This Meditation and Healing Day will focus on refocusing on our renewed Vision, reconnecting us to our Higher Selves and Community or Soul Group, and giving us some tools we can use to deepen our spiritual roots. In the workshop, you will learn the following methods for soul connection that will help you in forming your renewed direction for the coming year:

• Great Shining Light Meditation for connecting to Reiki Consciousness for problem solving
• HeartLink Meditation for connecting to Angelic Consciousness for energetic support and guidance
• Healing Drum Journey Meditation for connecting to our Animal Totems or Guides to assist us in understanding our lives symbolically
• Sound Healing with Drums, Singing Bowls, Rattles and Rainsticks

In addition to the above meditations, we will be doing hands-on healing in pairs and groups with the focus of supporting each other to move forward and let go of what blocks us from our Visions.

The workshop will be held at our center in Rockville, Maryland on Saturday, December 11, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with an hour break for lunch. Cost for the workshop will be $150, if paid by November 11, or $180 thereafter. Click button to the right to register.

Qi Gong with Ridgely du Pont

Starting in April 2010, Ridgely has begun a hiatus in her Qi Gong teaching. We hope to offer Qi Gong each Monday evening from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. when Ridgely resumes.

Qi Gong and Reiki Master Ridgely du Pont offers practice at Ridgely's Lotusblossom Center for the Healing Arts in Rockville at 829 Bowie Road in Rockvile, Maryland.

Qi Gong, pronounced "Chee Gung," is a Chinese moving meditation originally developed over six thousand years ago by Daoist monks who meditated for twenty hours a day. The Qi Gong exercises helped them to move their "stuck" chi or life force, akin to ki in the word Reiki.

Ridgely teaches Qi Gong in a relaxing and fun style, interesting for beginners and advanced practitioners alike. You can attend a single session for $17 or a series of four workshops for $44.

One Energy Therapy (TM) with Mari Hall


ONE Energy Therapy is a system using highly concentrated full spectrum energy. It is unique, it is neither Reiki nor an extended system of Reiki, The energy of ONE is directed through 27 specific touch points "channels" of the body in order to open and cleanse them at a faster rate. ALL LOVE-SKHM WEEKEND WORKSHOP

Where there is Love, All is possible and without Love we feel our separation from Source. Our Heart is at the core of our being and where the soul connects to our emotional and physical bodies. All Love-SKHM is the experience of the One Heart that connts us to the "All" of creation. Japanese Reiki Techniques

With David Gleekel, Reiki Master in Traditional Western Reiki (Usui Shiki Ryoho), Usui Reiki Ryoho (Japanese Style), and Gendai Reiki

Usui Reiki Ryoho- Shoden/Okuden - "Introductory and Advanced"

In this class, the student will be introduced to several Japanese Reiki Techniques and will receive the historical Japanese Attunements or Reiju for each level. The class will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Prerequisite for this class is completion in Usui Reiki II or higher. Cost is usually $270, if prepaid 30 days in advance or $300 thereafter.

Usui Reiki Ryoho- Shinpiden - "Mystery Teachings"

In this class, the student will learn how to give Japanese Reiki attunements or Reiju for all levels in the Usui and Hayashi styles. Also covered will be the paired healing style of Chujiro Hayashi and several meditations. Students will also receive the Master attunement for the Usui Reiki Ryoho. The class will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday. Prerequisite for this class is Usui Reiki Ryoho Shoden/Okuden and Western Usui Reiki Master. Cost is $270, if prepaid 30 days in advance or $300 thereafter.

Reiki & Intuition Workshop®

With Amy Rowland, Reiki Master in Traditional Western Reiki (Usui Shiki Ryoho), Usui Reiki Ryoho (Japanese Style), and Gendai Reiki

This session is a two-day, 12-hour class designed to support practitioners of all levels and lineages in learning how to work with Reiki and intuition together in harmony. It is a wonderful opportunity to practice the process of receiving intuitive impressions as you do hands-on Reiki and distant healing, to become confident of your skill as an intuitive, and to bring your skill as an intuitive into all other aspects of your life. During this class, you will:

• Receive additional attunements
  Learn basic and advanced intuitive skills
• Learn how to use your intuition to benefit your Reiki clients
• Learn how to use Reiki with intuition to clarify your own guidance

Gendai Reiki Master with Amy Rowland

Course Outline

The prerequisite for this class is Usui Reiki Ryoho Shinpiden.

• Gendai Reiki Levels Three and Four are for self-improvement, going deeper with reiki healing, spreading & teaching Reiki-ho.
• Level three takes improvements higher -“ higher in spiritual growth. If you say enlightenment is your goal, then level three is the gate.
  
• Level four is for people who want to share reiki. People who feel this is their mission. It raises one's consciousness - to be a guide for others who wish enlightenment. However, you can teach and share reiki, but if it does not show in your daily life you are not receiving reiki and you are not experiencing enlightenment and peacefulness. You must resonate with reiki all your life. This is the way to live to truly experience and share reiki.

The discussion session includes the following Gendai Reiki topics :

• Hints of Affirmation (Level Three)
• Guidance at level three, Shinpiden : To realize yourself by Reiki Wave that improves Spirituality
• Re-recognizing the Essence of Reiki Healing (Level Three)

The practical session will include :

• Gendai Reiki Levels one, two, three and integrated attunements will be demonstrated and practiced (Level Four)

• Introduction to the Reiju workshop 
• Gendai Reiju, Gendai Power Reiju will be given, demonstrated and practiced.
• Gendai Self Reiju Process will be demonstrated and practiced.
• Usui Sensei's Empowerment process will be demonstrated and practiced with the Usui energy lineage

• Learn various techniques on how to use the Master symbol: self cleansing with light, receiving guidance during the day, communicating with the Higher Self, Reiki meditation.
• Additional techniques: Ibuki-ho, Sekizui Joka Ibuki-ho, Hado Kokyu-ho, Hado Meiso-ho, Solar image training.

• How to give a combined treatment with the major Okuden (Level Two) techniques in one application.

ABOUT AMY ROWLAND

Amy Rowland describes Reiki as the best blessing of her life. She was privileged to study Reiki (Usui Shiki Ryoho) with Reverend Beth Gray, a dear friend and master student of Hawayo Takata.  She learned the basic hands-on method and the advanced distant-healing method in the spring and autumn of 1987. Amy also received her M.A. degree in English from Temple University and learned Reiki from Beth Gray in the same year. 

Because she loved the light, joyful, way the energy made her feel, and because she was always full of questions, she returned at every opportunity to assist at Beth Gray's classes. Since Beth "dropped in" on Bucks County at roughly six month intervals, Amy had the chance to assimilate what she learned and to deepen her practice. This informal spiritual study went on for years.

When Beth retired from teaching Reiki in 1991, Amy felt forced to learn from experience that the Energy is not only the true healer, but also the true teacher. Using Reiki itself, Amy began to direct her questions to the spirit of Mikao Usui and other early Reiki Masters.  With a strong sense of their support, Amy studied under Reiki Master Frank DuGan and became certified as a Reiki Master in 1994. Since then, it has been Amy’s joy to teach Reiki to many people and to see them awaken to the flow of healing energy in their hands and to the comfort of a conscious connection to Spirit.

Soon Amy realized that she was being guided to write a book about Reiki that would serve as an introduction to this healing method for the curious and as a reference book for Reiki practitioners. In 1996 and 1997, with the encouragement and support of her family and many Reiki friends, she wrote Traditional Reiki For Our Times. In 1998, Inner Traditions published the book, which created some wonderful opportunities for her to speak about Reiki, both to the general public and to healthcare professionals.  In 2006, Inner Traditions published her successor book that covers the topics of Reiki and Intuition.  It is called Intuitive Reiki for our Times and will be supplied to students in this workshop. A successor book recently was released in 2008 by Inner Traditions called Reiki for the Heart and Soul: The Reiki Principles as Spiritual Pathwork

In April 2001, Amy studied with Tom Rigler, a master student of Mr. Hiroshi Doi, and received training to teach Usui Reiki Ryoho and Gendai Reiki techniques. In September 2002, she took advantage of the opportunity to study with Mr. Doi himself at the Usui Reiki Ryoho International Conference in Toronto, Ontario. While she continues to teach in the Western tradition in which she was originally taught, she enjoys teaching the traditional Japanese techniques as well.

In the last several years, Amy has written numerous Reiki articles in the Reiki News Magazine. Amy is a member of the Association of Bodyworkers & Massage Professionals; a friend of the local chapter of the American Holistic Nurses Association; and an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church.  Her website is www.traditionalreiki.com.

Integrated Energy Therapy Classes ®

With Diane Ruth Shewmaker, IET Master/Teacher

IET is one of the next generation energy therapy systems that gets the "issues out of your tissues" for good, in the tradition of Caroline Myss's book, "Energy Anatomy". IET classes are powerful days of self-healing and energy therapy certification training. In each class, you will be attuned to an angelic energy ray that activates your 12-strand Spiritual DNA. You will then learn how to heartlink to the energy of your angels and use their energy for healing. You will also learn how each primary human emotion is correlated to a specific physical region of the body, as well as how to use the IET integration power points to clear them. No prior energy therapy experience is needed. Sekhem-Seichim-Reiki Master/Teacher

Sekhem-Seichim-Reiki (SSR) is a unique joining of three related, yet distinct universal energies into one unified system that profoundly stimulates healing of body, mind, emotions and spirit and activates your life body. The class will include the following:

SATURDAY: This first attunement opens your heart empowering you to channel the living light energy of SSR. You will receive five sacred symbols that direct the SSR energy for specific purposes such as focusing and amplifying the energy, releasing patterns, giving mental-emotional treatments, distance healing, and unifying all polarities. Kirtan with David Newman aka Durga Das

In July 2008, David Gleekel saw David Newman and his band in concert and was amazed by the power of his voice to heal and transform. RCGW will host a concert with David and his band December 7 at 1:00 p.m. at its Gaithersburg, Maryland center, followed by a potluck tea. Durga Das performs Hindu chants in a responsive singing format that lifts the spirit to bliss and brings a powerful healing energy to all who join him.
